Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. The Great Commission is first to delight yourself in the Lord (Ps 37:4). And then to declare, “Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!” (Ps 67:4). In this way God will be glorified from beginning to end and worship will empower the missionary enterprise till the coming of the Lord.

Why does City on a Hill have a Church Covenant?

A covenant is simply a promise agreement initiated by God outlining the conditions of the relationship. God’s covenant with us is both vertical (between us and him) and horizontal (between God’s people). For this reason, City on a Hill, and most other churches, have a written membership covenant. CoaH’s 3rd Church Planting Resident: Suresh Sammangi

If you have been around City on a Hill for very long you know that we have a heart for church planting. We are a 5 year old church plant and we know our city needs many more church plants. Back in 2012 we brought in our first church planting resident, Charlie Dunn, and a year late brought in our second, Jared Kirk. Both of these men, and their families, have gone out to plant church in our city.
