Read MoreMissions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. The Great Commission is first to delight yourself in the Lord (Ps 37:4). And then to declare, “Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!” (Ps 67:4). In this way God will be glorified from beginning to end and worship will empower the missionary enterprise till the coming of the Lord.
“Great and wonderful are your deeds,
O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways,
O King of the ages!
Who shall not fear and glorify your name,

If you have been around City on a Hill for very long you know that we have a heart for church planting. We are a 5 year old church plant and we know our city needs many more church plants. Back in 2012 we brought in our first church planting resident, Charlie Dunn, and a year late brought in our second, Jared Kirk. Both of these men, and their families, have gone out to plant church in our city.
